Unlocking
the therapeutic potential of Fc-Receptors in autoimmune
diseases
SuppreMol GmbH is a private
biotechnology company located in Martinsried near Munich,
Germany, and is focused on the development of novel
therapeutics for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
In particular the Company is focused on the development
of soluble Fcγ-Receptors (sFcRs) which are recombinant
autologous therapeutic proteins endowed with a proven
strong immunosuppressive potential. SuppreMol will
develop sFcR as a therapeutic for autoimmune diseases
such as Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura in the
first instance and then Systemic Lupus Erythematosus,
and Rheumatoid Arthritis. The Company
promotes an additional program to develop an anti-FcγRIIb
monoclonal antibody to target FcγR
receptors. The Company was founded in 2002 as a spin-off
from the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried/Germany.
